Eyeglass Watchmaker loupe with Clip 2.8X, Black

We fit this eyeglass with a sprung clip that grips spectacle frames on either side of the nose bridge. The black body holds a 2.8x biconvex lens for close bench work. You mount it over your regular spectacle lens, leaving your brow free.

Spectacle clip mounting

The sprung clip attaches over the spectacle rim on either the right or the left side. It stays seated while you look down at the movement and swings up when you look away.

Biconvex lens profile

We shape the optical glass with a biconvex curve for 2.8x magnification at strength 3.5. It gives a clear field across the balance, escapement, and train wheels under ordinary bench light.

Threaded lens retaining ring

A screw cap secures the glass inside the black body. You unthread the ring by hand when you need to lift the optical element out for thorough cleaning or replacement.

Reversible frame orientation

The mounting clip works on either temple. You flip the eyeglass over to shift magnification between your left and right eye without altering the clamp tension on your glasses.
