Soft Eyeglass Watchmaker loupe x2.8 Watch Repair Tool

The 3611-N-3.5 eyeglass gives x2.8 magnification across the work area. We mould the cup from a soft synthetic material so it seats close against the brow without hard edges. The glass lens is held in place by a threaded ring you can back off by hand.

Soft synthetic cup

The body uses a pliable synthetic compound rather than rigid plastic. It conforms to the socket when held in place, resting lightly against the skin while you keep both hands on the bench.

Threaded bezel

A screw-on front bezel secures the optical lens inside the barrel. You unscrew the ring when lint or dried oil settles on the inner face, wipe the glass clean, and thread it back on firmly.

Working magnification

The lens provides x2.8 enlargement for standard assembly and inspection at the bench. It gives a broad field of view, so you can track the escapement or check wheel engagement without moving your head.

Care and maintenance

Keep the synthetic body free of bench solvents and pegwood shavings. When cleaning the lens, remove it from the cup to wipe both sides with lens paper before tightening the bezel down again.
