Dust belongs off the train wheels before the bridges go back on. We fit this blower with a fine bakelite tip to aim air where a coarse nozzle cannot go. The bulb body carries molded ribs so it stays where you set it on the skin of the bench.
The fine bakelite tip
A narrow nozzle turned from bakelite directs a dry puff across balance jewels, pallet pivots, and dial feet. The hard tip holds its bore without fraying under regular bench use.
The grooved bulb
Longitudinal ribs run along the bulb wall. They give the fingers purchase when pumping rapid puffs and stop the blower from rolling into a movement tray when laid flat.
The air stream
A quick squeeze clears stray specks without introducing moisture from breath. You control the force entirely by how you compress the bulb against your palm.
Bench habit and care
Keep the nozzle clean of dried oils and bench debris before aiming it at an open caliber. Store the blower upright or beside your staking set under a dust dome.

Keeping the bench clean
Cleaning putty and what it lifts, why solvents are kept away from some surfaces, the point of a bench mat and a tray with a lip, cloths and brushes, and how tools are put away so the next job starts on a clear board.
