Smooth case backs leave no purchase for standard pins or milled jaws. We turn this set of suction heads with adiprene cups to grip the metal through surface contact and downward pressure. They mount directly to our case vice and the 5700z apparatus.
Adiprene contact cups
The working face of each head is moulded from adiprene. The material compresses slightly under the spindle load to take a firm friction grip across polished or brushed surfaces where no wrench slots exist.
Stepped diameter range
We turn these in six distinct diameters: 16mm, 19mm, 22mm, 26mm, 30mm and 34mm. Choosing a size that sits just inside the outer rim of the case back gives the widest possible contact patch.
Spindle and vice mounting
The upper shanks are sized to fit the tool holder of our vice for waterproof cases and the 5700z frame. The height adjusts on the spindle thread so you can level the face against the case.
Cleaning the friction face
Keep the adiprene faces free of bench dust, skin oils, and grease. A quick wipe with a dry lint-free cloth or a press onto clean Rodico restores the tack needed to turn a tight back.
