Soft Eyeglass Watchmaker loupe x2.5

We mould the body of the 3611-N-4 from a soft synthetic material that seats directly in the eye socket without the hard rim of traditional turned cups. The glass delivers x2.5 magnification across the field. When dust gathers inside, the bezel unthreads so you can reach both faces of the lens.

Moulded soft body

The cup is formed from a pliant synthetic material rather than rigid plastic or turned wood. It yields slightly against the brow and cheekbone as you hold it in place during long spells over a movement.

Threaded bezel ring

The front retaining ring unscrews by hand. This frees the glass element completely so you can wipe away bench oil or stray dust from the inner face without scratching the housing.

Lens magnification

The optics provide x2.5 magnification for general assembly, checking bridge alignment, and watching the escapement turn over. It gives a broad working distance between the glass and your tweezers.

Keeping optics clear

Store the loupe cup down on the bench mat or inside a covered box when not over the movement. Wipe the bare glass with a clean cloth before threading the retaining ring back onto the body.
