We size this blade at 1.2 mm for small bridge and plate screws across the movement. The stainless steel body carries a red swivel head and a soft elastomer coating over the knurling so your fingers keep their purchase during light assembly. Keep the tip dressed square on an India stone.
Blade profile
We grind the parallel 1.2 mm flat to seat all the way down in the screw slot. It bears against both walls rather than wedging at the top edges.
Elastomer grip
An elastomer sleeve sits over the stainless body where your thumb and forefinger rest. It gives a firm hold without requiring heavy finger pressure while turning.
Red swivel head
The red synthetic head turns on a smooth pivot under your index finger. The cap stays stationary while the barrel rotates underneath it.
Changing the blade
A set screw in the side of the ferrule clamps the blade shank. Loosen it with a secondary driver to draw out a worn tip and slide in a fresh one.
