30081 Replacement Spare Blades 0.7 mm, Lavender

A worn blade will bottom out in the screw slot or ride up the walls. We grind these straight flat spare blades to 0.7 mm to restore the driver to its true profile. They fit directly into the corresponding lavender handles from our 30080 and 30081 series.

Straight blade profile

The flat face is ground parallel to enter small movement screw slots without binding. It seats squarely against the bottom of the slot so torque transfers through the flat rather than the edges.

Changing the tip

Release the small set screw on the side of the handle ferrule to slide out the old blade. Insert the fresh 0.7 mm tip, seat it fully against the stop, and tighten the screw back down.

Lavender handle coding

This 0.7 mm width matches the lavender band on our screwdriver handles. Keeping spare blades matched to the handle color keeps the bench organized when you need to swap out a dull tip.

Dressing at the bench

Use an Arkansas stone or fine India oilstone with a sharpening tool to dress the tip as it wears. A light pass across the flat keeps the working face true before replacement is necessary.
