The 30080-01 carries our narrowest 0.5 mm flat blade for the smallest screws in a movement. A knurled metal barrel gives your fingers purchase while the swivel head stays quiet against your index finger. We finish the handle in chromium plating so it wipes clean at the bench.
Narrow blade ground flat
The 0.5 mm blade is ground straight along its working flats so it seats down into the slot rather than riding up the screw head. You dress the edge on an Arkansas stone when it shows wear.
Chromium plated barrel
We knurl the grip area directly into the body before plating. The chromium layer resists tarnishing from bench oils and sweat, and the barrel stays balanced between the thumb and middle finger.
Free turning swivel head
Your index finger holds downward pressure on the self-lubricating top cap while your lower fingers turn the shank. The head rotates freely on its pivot so the tool does not twist under your finger.
Changing out the blade
A set screw in the ferrule clamps the blade shank. Loosen it with an ordinary bench driver to pull the worn tip forward, slip in a fresh 0.5 mm replacement blade, and retighten the screw.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
