Screwdriver blades wear down through ordinary service work, and a bruised tip belongs off the movement. We grind this flat straight blade to a 1 mm width to fit directly into our 30080 and 30081 series handles. The black finish marks the size at a glance when working across several drivers.
Straight flat edge
The working end is ground flat to seat square into 1 mm screw slots across the movement. It gives clean contact against both slot walls when turning bridge and plate screws.
Handle grub screw fit
The shank slides into the nose of our 30080 and 30081 handles. Tighten the small side screw on the barrel to clamp the blade firm against rotation while turning.
Black size coding
The body carries a black finish matched to our 1 mm driver coding. It lets you identify the tip size instantly in a tray or standing on the carousel.
Replacing a worn tip
Loosen the set screw on the screwdriver body, pull out the broken or burred blade, and seat the fresh one fully. Dressing the flat tip on an Arkansas stone restores the edge as it wears.
