| What it is | A spare part for a tool you already have |
| Bench job | Working on the movement |
Screwdriver blades wear down and chip with regular bench use. This 1.2 mm straight flat replacement blade restores the working edge of the driver without requiring a whole new tool. It secures into the driver body with the side set screw, matching the red size band of our 30080 and 30081 handles.
Straight flat edge
The 1.2 mm tip is ground flat to seat properly in screw slots across the movement. It provides full contact against the walls of the slot when turned under steady downward finger pressure.
The driver body fit
This blade fits the collet of both 30080 and 30081 screwdriver bodies. It slides into the barrel and locks tight when you tighten the small brass or steel set screw on the side of the handle.
Matching the red band
We color-code the 1.2 mm size with red bands on our handles and rotating stands. Keeping this blade in the matching handle ensures you pick up the right width immediately while working across movement bridges.
Replacing a worn tip
A chipped or rounded blade should come out of the handle immediately. Back off the set screw, slide the old tip out of the collet, push this replacement home, and snug the screw back down.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
