| What it is | A spare part for a tool you already have |
| Bench job | Working on the movement |
A screwdriver blade wears down or chips when put to heavy bridge screws and case parts. We grind these 3 mm flat steel spares to replace a blunt tip rather than discarding the handle. Each blade slides into the ferrule of the corresponding driver and fixes with the existing set screw.
Blade profile
A flat steel edge ground parallel to seat cleanly across wide screw slots. The face fills the slot walls to turn larger movement screws and casing screws without riding up on the burr.
Screwdriver fit
Sized for the brown-banded handles in our 30080 and 30081 lines. The shank matches the internal bore of the driver barrel, seating straight once the clamping screw is tightened down.
Replacing the tip
Loosen the set screw on the side of your driver handle to slide out the spent steel. Insert the fresh 3 mm blade until it bottoms out, then lock the set screw against the flat.
Bench maintenance
Keep spares in the tube until needed at the bench. When an edge dulls from repeated work on steel components, a bench stone can dress the flat face before total replacement is required.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
