Bench jobWorking on the movement

We arrange nine knurled screwdrivers together with spare stainless steel blades inside a wooden box. The handles carry colour-coded bands that match the spare blade tubes, letting you select the correct tip width from 0.5 mm up to 2.5 mm across the bench.

Stainless steel blades

We shape the flat blades in 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.4 mm, 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm, and 2.5 mm widths. Each parallel edge seats directly down into the screw slot.

Knurled handle grip

The barrel carries a knurled pattern along the grip section. It gives the thumb and forefinger a steady purchase while the swivel head turns under the index finger.

Spare blade tubes

Spare stainless steel blades sit inside dedicated plastic containers. These capsules use the same colour rings as the screwdriver handles to speed up identification.

Fitted wooden box

A wooden box holds the complete run of drivers and spare tubes in dedicated slots. It keeps the tips off the bench surface when the set is put away.

A note that touches this tool

Reading a catalogue number

What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.

Choosing a blade width

Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
