We cut the handle of our 8111 tool from stainless steel with a textured grip that stays firm between your fingers. One end holds a reversible insert with a narrow fork and a round pin, while the opposite end carries a wide, angled fork. Threaded ferrules lock both tips straight along the axis of the handle.

Reversible fine insert

One end holds a tip with a 1.20mm fork on one side and a 0.80mm cylindrical pin on the other. You loosen the ferrule, flip the steel point around, and tighten it down to switch between shoulder catches and drilled lugs.

Angled broad fork

The opposite end carries a 4mm wide fork set at an angle to the body. That offset gives your fingers clearance over a case flank when you need to purchase the flange of a heavy strap spring bar.

Textured steel handle

We turn the main barrel from solid stainless steel and cut a rough pattern across the grip area. The tool sits flat between your thumb and forefinger so you can guide the point without the body rolling.

Threaded tip ferrules

Both working ends seat directly into the handle body beneath screw-on collars. When a prong wears down after long service at the bench, you unscrew the ferrule and seat a replacement point without discarding the handle.
