We shape this puller for lifting cannon sprockets and barrel pinions clean off their arbors. The wooden handle sits across the palm while the steel lever takes up the lift beneath the gear. It gives the apprentice a steady, controlled pry on both small and large calibers.
Wooden handle
The shaped wood handle rests across the fingers and gives a firm grip during the lift. It keeps the hand steady over the movement without crowding the work area.
Steel lifting lever
The lower lever reaches under the pinion shoulder to draw the gear upward off the post. The geometry converts steady hand pressure into direct vertical travel.
Caliber capacity
We size the working end to take both small watch movements and larger calibers. The jaw opening clears the surrounding train bridges as the sprocket lifts.
Bench care
Wipe the working faces clean with a dry cloth before placing the tool on the bench rack. Keep the pivot point free of dried grease to preserve the smooth lever action.
