Bench jobOpening and closing a case

We build tool 6400 to lift tensioned crystals straight out of their bezels without taking the movement from the case. The jaws close together evenly as you turn the knurled collar. You set the plate on the bench to support the crystal while the fingers seat.

Jaws and capacity

The curved teeth gather inward as the body turns. They take crystals from 10 mm to 45 mm, gripping both round profiles and shaped crystals along their perimeter.

The knurled collar

A wide collar controls the jaw travel under your hand. You adjust the closing tension gradually so the teeth hold the acrylic rim firmly before you draw the crystal upward.

The standard plate

The base plate sits on the bench mat beneath the tool. It supports the crystal at a level height while you close the jaws, keeping the tool square to the crystal perimeter.

Setting and release

Once free of the bezel, the crystal stays held between the fingers until you back off the collar. You place the new crystal onto the plate to compress it for installation.
