What it isA tool in its own right
Bench jobWorking on the movement

We build this torque cylinder to slide directly onto the barrel of our 7965 series screwdrivers. It slips over the knurling and disengages once the tightening force reaches 35 mNm. A watchmaker working across a train bridge can seat small screws repeatedly without guessing at the resistance through their fingers.

Torque release mechanism

The internal clutch disengages at a preset 35 mNm. It slips once that limit is reached so the blade stops driving the screw head forward, which keeps threads from stripping in delicate bridge plates.

Mounting on the barrel

The sleeve clamps along the body of a 7965 screwdriver or special profile driver. You can slide it to where your index finger and thumb naturally grip, or mount two units on one stem for opposing directions.

Identification rings

The cylinder body accepts colored marker rings around its waist. These colored bands let you tell the preset torque rating apart at a glance when several drivers are resting on the bench mat.

Driver compatibility

This cylinder fits the handles of our 7965 screwdriver range. It turns an ordinary hand driver into a torque-limited tool without changing the blade holder or the freely rotating swivel head at the top.

Reading a catalogue number

What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.

Choosing a blade width
