We turn this cylinder from stainless steel to add calibrated torque control to our 7965 screwdriver line. The internal clutch is preset and bidirectional. It slides directly onto the body of the driver handle so your fingers find the turning surface right where you choose to set it.
Preset release mechanism
The internal mechanism is factory set to disengage at a fixed limit. Because it acts bidirectionally, it breaks away under load in both turning directions without altering the seating of the driver blade.
Position on the body
You can slide the cylinder anywhere along the knurled shank of our 7965 handle. Lock it high or low to match how your fingers naturally rest when driving bridge or plate screws.
Dual cylinder setup
Two of these units can sit on the same screwdriver body together. Watchmakers often run one cylinder set for securing fasteners and a second dedicated to controlled loosening.
Stainless steel barrel
We machine the exterior from solid stainless steel. The outer diameter provides a firm contact face for the fingers while keeping movement oils and bench debris from entering the internal spring works.
