A bracelet held loosely in the fingers tends to skate away under the punch. We cut slots into this base to hold the links upright while you line up the pin and tap it through. The handheld punch takes replacement pins as they wear down over time.
The slotted base
Milled slots across the block accept different bracelet thicknesses. Setting the links into the slot holds them on edge, so the pin emerges straight down into the relief channel below without catching the opposite side.
The handheld punch
The knurled punch body gives your fingers a firm grip while you align the tip with the friction pin. The top face accepts steady, light taps from your bench mallet.
Interchangeable driving pins
We supply replacement pins with the set. When a slender pin bends against a stubborn friction tube, you unscrew the nose of the punch, discard the worn wire, and seat a fresh pin in the collet.
Handling leather and metal
The open channels seat metal link bands or heavy strap clasps with equal stability. You keep both hands free to position the punch and govern the mallet strike.

Changing a strap at the lugs
The order of work when a strap or bracelet comes off: which end of the spring bar tool does what, the difference between a fork end and a pin end, drilled lugs against closed lugs, and why the bracelet is held rather than gripped.
