This white eyepiece carries a biconvex glass lens set into a plain plastic body. We open a vent hole through the sidewall so moisture can escape while you lean over the movement. Catalogue number 2611-TB-4 gives a moderate field for general bench tasks.
Biconvex glass lens
The lens is ground convex on both faces to produce 2.5x magnification. It gives a clean view across the dial plate or train without requiring you to drop your nose directly onto the work.
Ventilation port
We pierce the side of the white cup with an air opening. Warm air leaves the chamber directly, which helps keep the inner face of the glass from misting during long bench sessions.
Lightweight cup profile
The body is turned with a thin rim and a shallow taper. It sits in the orbital socket without heavy muscle tension, or it slips under a standard wire headband if you prefer to work hands free.
Bench care
Blow loose dust from the glass with a rubber bulb before wiping. Clean both faces with a dry optical cloth, and store the eye loupe in a box between movements to keep grit off the bezel.
