We mould the body of reference 2611-B-4 in white to keep ambient light around the eye. The lens gives a moderate magnification that leaves enough room between the bezel and the movement for tweezers or an oiler. You hold it in the orbit while keeping both hands on the bench.

White body moulding

The pale body reflects light into the working field rather than casting a dark shadow over the movement. It rests directly in the eye socket without needing heavy pressure to stay in place.

Working distance

The lens is set for a four inch focal distance. That clearance allows hand tools and screwdrivers to move under the glass without the housing getting in the way of your strokes.

Lens seating

We press the optical lens securely into the front rim so it sits square to your line of sight. Dust that gathers on the glass wipes away with standard lens tissue or clean pith wood.
