We mould the body of this 2611-B-2.5 eyeglass in white composite to hold the optic squarely before the eye. The barrel is flared to rest directly against the orbital bone while both hands stay busy with tweezers and screwdrivers. It is a standard glass for general assembly and fault-finding across the movement.

Moulded white body

We shape the barrel with a wide rear rim that wedges under the brow. The white material keeps the eye cup light, and the inner profile leaves clearance so the lens does not touch the eyelid during long work.

Fixed focus optic

The glass sits mounted in the front aperture to give a working focal distance suitable for general bench assembly. It stays centered over the bridge without tilting, keeping the balance wheel or train in view as you turn the movement.

Hands free seating

The flared rim grips into the orbit without needing a heavy headband, though a wire holder can be fitted over the groove. It drops away quickly when you need to look across the wider bench tray.

Care and wiping

Dust gathers on both faces of the optic during cleaning and oiling operations. We wipe the lens with dry pith wood or a lint-free cloth, avoiding solvents that might loosen the seating inside the composite ring.
