Plastic Battery tweezer with Battery Hatch Opener for Watches

We mold the 6460-P from non-conductive plastic to give the bench a dedicated tool for handling loose cells. The flat tips hold button batteries by their rims without shorting the terminals. At the back, the handle terminates in a broad rigid blade shaped to turn slotted battery hatches on casebacks.

Flat tip profile

The tips are molded flat and broad across the gripping surface. This spreads the grip across the coin edge of the cell, giving you positive placement when seating a fresh battery into a tight movement cavity.

Non-conductive body

Because the entire body is plastic, the arms cannot bridge the positive casing and negative terminal of a cell during handling. The material carries a slight flex that lets you feel the pinch pressure directly.

Battery hatch opener

The tail of the tweezer forms a stout, flat-faced key. It seats into the wide coin slots milled into separate caseback battery covers, letting you break the thread seal and spin the hatch open.

Bench maintenance

Keep the plastic tips clear of bench oils and pegwood debris. When wiped down with a clean dry cloth, the jaws maintain their purchase on smooth nickel and silver oxide cell surfaces without slipping.
