Our 6173 press sets up on the bench for closing snap case backs and fitting crystals under controlled vertical drive. The rack column keeps the line of travel square from top to base. You feel the seating resistance through the handle as the die meets the work.
Rack column travel
A cut rack drives the upper spindle straight down without twist. The column maintains alignment across the full stroke so dies seat flat against the bezel or case rim.
Spindle and reduction rings
The main bore accepts tooling with 10 mm shanks. We supply two reduction rings to take 8 mm fittings when your stakes or chucks require the smaller diameter.
Threaded lower supports
Two M6 threaded supports seat into the base to hold lower chucks at usable heights of 21 mm and 3 mm. You swap them depending on the depth of the case.
Capacity at the bench
The opening accommodates case assemblies up to 110 mm in usable height. It takes mineral glasses, unbreakable crystals with tension rings, and stubborn waterproof pressure-fit backs.
