Replacement pins for Bracelet Tool 0.80mm

Friction pins in bracelet links eventually bend or mushroom the driving tip when seized links resist. We turn this replacement pin to a 0.8 mm working diameter to seat directly inside our 6988 tool body. Keep several at the bench so a worn tip does not halt bracelet sizing midway through an adjustment.

Working diameter

We turn the working shaft to 0.8 mm along its full length. The tip face is ground flat across the end to bear squarely against the link pin rather than wandering off center.

Mounting shank

The rear section fits directly into the chuck of the 6988 bracelet tool. It seats firmly under the clamp screw so the driving force travels straight down the shaft without flexing.

Replacing the tip

Slacken the retaining screw on the tool body and draw out the bent piece. Slide this pin in until it bottoms out, then tighten the screw back down against the flat.

Bench storage

A spare pin stays straightest when left in its original packaging until needed. Store extra pins in a small compartment box beside your bracelet blocks so replacements are at hand.
