| What it is | A spare part for a tool you already have |
| Bench job | Changing a strap or bracelet |
A bracelet pin pusher takes steady pressure along its axis. When a pin bends or mushrooms during sizing, the tool body stays on the bench while the worn tip comes out. This 1.00mm pin installs into our 6988 tool to restore its original working face.
Working pin diameter
Turned to 1.00mm across the shaft. The flat face meets the link pin squarely to start the drive without binding in the link hole.
Mounting to the body
The seating shank fits directly into the chuck of the 6988 bracelet tool. Tightening the holder locks the pin on center without play.
Workshop maintenance
Pins are consumable items at the sizing bench. Keeping spares in the drawer means a bent point does not halt bracelet adjustment on a customer watch.
Sizing the link
A 1.00mm tip matches common split pins and friction tubes found in metal bracelets. Check the link bore before driving to ensure clearance.

A note that touches this tool
Changing a strap at the lugs
The order of work when a strap or bracelet comes off: which end of the spring bar tool does what, the difference between a fork end and a pin end, drilled lugs against closed lugs, and why the bracelet is held rather than gripped.
