We turn these lower suction heads to mount directly into our case opener vices, including the 5700z. Each head carries an adiprene cup that grips smooth case backs without relying on milled slots or notches. The set supplies three diameters to match the back you are seating.
Adiprene cup material
The contact surface is formed from adiprene. It provides a slip-resistant seat against smooth metal, holding the watch firm while you bring the upper tool down onto the case.
Graduated cup diameters
We supply the heads with cup diameters of 19, 26, and 34 mm. Choosing the size closest to the case diameter spreads the clamping force across the back rather than concentrating it at the center.
Adjustable mounting height
Each lower head threads into the vice base with height adjustment. You raise or lower the seat to bring the case level with the side jaws before tightening the opener spindle.
Vices without back slots
Cases lacking notches, flutes, or polygonal edges cannot take traditional metal keys. These suction supports hold the piece from below so the upper dies can turn without the watch spinning in the vice.
