These hollow stakes fit our 6173 and 5500 press spindles using standard M6 threads. We machine them from POM synthetic material to take larger case diameters and high-domed crystals without contact across the center. Keep them organized at the bench beside the press frame.

POM synthetic contact face

The hollow profile clears the dome of mineral glasses while applying force solely along the crystal rim or case perimeter. POM synthetic material yields slightly against metal surfaces without marring polished bezels or case backs.

Threaded spindle mount

Each stake carries an M6 thread turned directly into the back. You screw the stake into the upper spindle or lower base of our 6173 or 5500 press until it seats firmly against the spindle shoulder.

Stepped diameter progression

Diameters run at 45 mm, 50 mm, 55 mm, 60 mm, and 65 mm. Having these larger diameters ready at hand lets you match broad modern cases and large crystal rings without uneven pressure.

Bench rack storage

Store the set flat on the bench or upright in a dedicated block beside your press. Keeping the faces clean of swarf and grit ensures the contact surface remains true between case pressings.
