Spring Bar Tool

We turn the body of this tool from metal with a knurled grip along the middle. One end takes a fork for catching the shoulder of a flanged spring bar, while the opposite end carries a cylindrical pin for drilled lugs. Both ends unscrew when the tips need replacement.

The notched fork

We mill a clean notch into the fork tip so it seats over the pivot and catches the shoulder of a flanged spring bar. It compresses the internal spring straight back without rolling off the flange under hand pressure.

The cylindrical pin

The opposite end carries a straight pin tip. You use it to depress spring bar pivots through drilled lug holes, or to release clasp micro-adjustments on folded and solid metal bracelets without wedging a blade against the link.

Knurled body profile

Raised knurling runs along the barrel where your index finger and thumb meet the metal. The texture gives your grip purchase when working between tight end links, while the round body lets you roll the tool between fingers.

Threaded end fittings

Both working tips sit on threaded shanks that screw directly into the tool body. When a tip wears or deforms after extended bench work, you unscrew the damaged end and seat a fresh replacement into the ferrule.
