Large screw-down casebacks need a rigid frame and pins that seat square in the slots. We build this XL tool with a central handle and three adjustable points to cover case diameters from 18 mm to 62 mm. It comes with interchangeable pins for notched, polygon, drilled, and grooved back designs.

Chucking capacity

The three points adjust outward across a span from 18 mm to 62 mm. You set two pins on the lower bridge and dial the top pin down until all three meet the back cleanly without binding on the threads.

Four jaw profiles

The set includes four distinct pin profiles: flat edges, rounded notches, round pegs for blind holes, and ribbed profiles for grooved backs. Match the insert shape to the milled recess on the case before applying turning pressure.

Handle and body

The black central handle provides the grip while you steady the tool over the watch. A knurled drive wheel turns the upper post to tighten or release the pin geometry over the caseback.

Pin replacement

Worn pins pull straight out from the chucks when changing between caseback styles. Press the selected profile firmly into the mounting holes until seated flush against the carrier blocks before fitting the wrench to the watch.
