We machine the arms of the 7152-3 from aluminum to give direct feel when gripping an external rotating ring. The tool closes circular synthetic rings around the perimeter rather than driving a steel wedge under the flange. This distributes closing pressure evenly across the outer diameter of the bezel.
Aluminum body
We mill the two plier arms from solid aluminum. The light metal keeps the tool balanced between your fingers so you can feel when the jaws seat firmly against the bezel teeth.
Synthetic grip rings
The inserts are formed from firm plastic to bite into the knurled rim of the bezel. They hold the circumference under compression rather than metal contacting metal.
Three insert sizes
The set supplies ring pairs sized at 38 mm, 42 mm, and 46 mm diameters. Match the opening to the outer ring so the plier bears evenly along the circumference.
Lifting action
Once closed around the bezel, you turn and draw the tool upward along the case axis. The bezel lifts off its retaining spring without prying against the case corners.
