| What it is | A spare part for a tool you already have |
| Bench job | Working on the movement |
Screwdriver blades wear down, chip, or lose their parallel faces over time. We grind this 2.50 mm replacement blade to slide directly into the collet of your 30080 handle. It seats true against the set screw so you can return to the movement with a fresh edge.
Parallel ground tip
The 2.50 mm tip is dressed with flat faces that seat down into the screw slot rather than riding up on a taper. This keeps the working contact across the full depth of the head.
Collet fit
The shank matches the bore of the corresponding 30080 driver body. It slides in cleanly and locks flat when the grub screw on the handle is brought tight.
Replacing a worn tip
Loosen the side screw on the driver barrel to slide out the old steel. Seat this replacement fully before tightening down so the blade cannot rock or twist during a turn.
Bench maintenance
Keep a spare blade dressed and ready in your drawer. Swapping out a dull or chipped edge takes a moment and keeps the driver geometry true without reshaping on an oilstone.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
