| What it is | A spare part for a tool you already have |
| Bench job | Working on the movement |
A worn screwdriver blade will climb out of a screw slot and mar the head. We grind the 30080-L replacement blade to 3 mm so you can swap out tired steel without replacing the entire tool body. It secures directly into the collet of the matching handle.
The ground profile
We shape the flat sides of the 3 mm tip parallel so it bears across the full depth of the slot. A tapered edge wedges upward under turning force, but parallel flats seat firmly against the walls.
Replacing the tip
Loosen the set screw on the side of the 30080 screwdriver ferrule to slide out the old blade. Insert this replacement until it bottoms out against the stop, then tighten the grub screw back down.
Working size identification
The 3 mm sizing matches the brown identification ring on our handle system. Keeping the proper replacement ready means you do not have to dress down an oversized blade on an India stone mid-assembly.
Storage at the bench
Keep spare blades dry inside their tube or within the center well of the rotating stand. Moisture ruins a ground edge quickly, and bare tips should not knock against other loose steel in a bench drawer.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
