2.5X Watchmaker Eyeglasses Loupe Biconvex Air

We turn the body of our 2611-TN eyeglass to sit naturally in the eye orbit without excessive facial pressure. The open air hole vents warmth from the skin directly behind the optic. A 25 mm biconvex lens gives clear magnification across the entire bridge of the movement.

Biconvex lens

The 25 mm glass lens sits square in the turned bezel. Both faces are ground convex to provide a flat, readable field across wheels, jewels, and pinions.

Vented body

A lateral opening through the cup allows air to circulate freely while the loupe rests in place. Skin warmth vents out rather than misting the internal glass face.

Turned profile

The body is turned from lightweight material with a smooth outer lip. It tucks between the brow and cheekbone, held firmly by the natural closure of the orbit.

Bench placement

Store the eyeglass cup upright on the bench mat or over a clean peg when not in use. Dust wipes off the glass with a clean piece of pith wood.
