| Bench job | Working on the movement |
Movement bridge screws and setting bridge screws demand flat blades that fit the slot across its full width. We grind these 1.00 mm replacement blades to seat directly into our 6899 series handles. A worn or chipped tip is replaced at the bench in seconds by loosening the ferrule set screw.
Parallel ground tip
The 1.00 mm working flat is ground parallel to enter the screw slot without wedging. Both faces meet the bottom of the slot evenly under downforce.
Stainless steel stock
We turn and mill these replacement blades from stainless steel stock. The metal resists bench moisture and keeps its ground profile during steady movement work.
Ferrule set screw fit
The shank matches the bore of the 6899-AT-100 driver body. Back off the knurled handle set screw, draw the old blade out, and seat this one firmly against the stop.
Color band matching
These blades belong with the 1.00 mm color band on our driver handles and carousel stands. Keeping the size organized saves time during movement assembly.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
