A screwdriver blade wears down or chips over long use on bridge screws and plate hardware. These 1.2 mm spare blades fit the plain handle of the 6899-AT-120 driver. You loosen the side grub screw, slide the spent tip out, and seat the fresh steel into the barrel.
Blade profile
We grind the 1.2 mm flat tip to parallel faces so it seats square across the screw slot. It fills the slot walls rather than wedging against the top corners.
Stainless steel tip
The blade is turned from stainless steel stock to hold its edge against stubborn movement screws. When the face eventually burrs, you dress it on an India stone or replace it.
Swapping the blade
The handle holds the blade with a small set screw on the ferrule. Back the screw out a half turn, pull the old blade clear, insert the replacement, and tighten it down firmly.
Bench organization
The 1.2 mm size corresponds to its designated color band in our 6899 driver series. Keeping spares organized by diameter saves time when you need a fresh edge mid-assembly.
