A cased watch needs a steady rest when you lever a snap back or drive screws into a case ring. We build the 5394-PG with a yielding center held inside a rigid metal collar. The 80mm diameter supports broad modern cases across the full width of the crystal.
The soft center
The black support surface yields slightly under pressure so the crystal and bezel seat flat. It stays firm enough to hold the watch level while you apply downward force with a screwdriver or case opener.
The outer ring
A metal collar encircles the cushion to keep the soft material from spreading outward over time. It gives the edge a firm boundary that stays round on the bench mat.
The 80mm diameter
The 80mm face offers ample clearance for larger cases and pocket watches. Smaller variants exist under family 5394 for compact work, but this broad footprint accommodates oversized bezels.
