We mould the 30097-BCC base to keep an uncased movement and its loose screws together on the bench. The central recess accepts a casing cushion, while the surrounding wells isolate stems, clamps, and gaskets under a clear bell. Work stays in order while you step away.
Central cushion recess
The broad middle well accepts a casing cushion up to 55mm across. It supports the movement or case flat while you clear the outer components into their own wells.
Perimeter storage wells
Seven shallow pockets ring the central seat. Screws, winding stems, and case clamps remain separated by stage rather than rolling together on the mat during disassembly.
Clear bell cover
The tall transparent dome rests over the tray to keep drafts and bench dust off exposed dial work. You can inspect the progress without lifting the cover.
Bench tray footprint
The tray sits stable on the pegboard or mat with a wide diameter. It groups the hardware for one job in a single spot until reassembly begins.

A note that touches this tool
Opening a stubborn case back
Snap backs against screw backs against monobloc cases, how a case key and its dies engage a fluted rim, why the case is held in a holder rather than in the hand, and what to do when the back has been opened badly before.
