| What it is | A tool in its own right |
| Bench job | Working on the movement |
Movement work requires narrow flat blades that sit square in fine screw slots. We turn this handle from stainless steel, color-code it in yellow, and fit it with a ground .80mm blade. The tool turns freely under the index finger while your thumb and middle finger control the torque.
Blade fit at .80mm
We grind this blade to a width of .80mm. The parallel faces seat flat across the bottom of the screw slot, which helps keep the driver centered as you begin to turn bridge screws or small movement hardware.
The stainless steel handle
We machine the handle from stainless steel with clean bands of knurling. The grip gives your fingers purchase during assembly, while the yellow ring lets you pick this size from your bench rack without checking the tip first.
The rotating swivel head
The head spins freely on the top of the handle. You rest an index finger on the cap to steady the tool, letting your other fingers turn the barrel without shifting the blade tip in the screwhead slot.
Replacing a worn blade
A small set screw in the ferrule holds the blade in position. Loosen that set screw with a spare driver to slip out a worn blade, seat a fresh .80mm replacement, and tighten it down flat.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
