A watchmaker works through screw slots from the balance bridge down to the casing clamps. We build reference 6899-AC10 with elastomer on the shank and hardened stainless steel in the collet. Ten matched sizes cover the bench, each supplied with spare blades ready for redressing or quick replacement.
Hardened stainless blades
We form each blade from hardened stainless steel to sit flat in the screw slot. The edges are ground straight across the flat rather than tapered, seating fully against the floor of the groove before torque is applied.
Elastomer shank coating
The barrel of each screwdriver carries a synthetic elastomer sleeve over the body. The soft material gives the fingertips purchase during fine assembly, even when handling parts under dry bench air or wearing finger cots.
Octagonal swivel head
Each turning cap is shaped as an octagon so the tool stays where you lay it on the bench mat. The head rotates freely under the index finger, allowing steady downward pressure while the thumb and forefinger turn the shank.
Color bands and spares
Color-coded bands mark each driver from 0.5 mm up to 3.0 mm across the set. A set screw in the ferrule releases the stem, making blade swaps straightforward when a tip wears down or requires a fresh stone dressing.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
