We turn the body of No. 3153 with a millimetre scale along the handle for sizing the bar before it goes between the horns. One end takes a fork for standard shoulders. The opposite end holds a round point for drilled lugs and clasp adjustments. Both steel ends thread directly into the barrel.

Notched fork profile

The fork end slips over the shoulder of a spring bar between the strap leather and the inner lug wall. It catches the flange so you can compress the internal spring and walk the pivot out of its hole.

Pointed tip for drilled lugs

The plain round pin pushes through pierced lug holes from the outside of the case. It also reaches the fine adjustment detents on stamped bracelet clasps. Steady downward pressure releases the pin without broad lateral play.

Barrel with millimetre scale

We mark graduations along the length of the hexagonal body. You lay the removed bar or the lug gap across the markings to verify the span before picking a replacement from the compartment tray.

Replacing worn steel tips

Both working points unscrew from the central handle when bent or worn down at the edges. Threaded replacement tips seat down to the shoulder of the barrel, keeping the assembly rigid while you work.
