Watch Spring Bar Removal Tool

We fit the 3153 with a broad 3.0mm fork on one side and an 0.80mm cylindrical pin on the other. The hexagonal body rests flat without rolling across the paper. It is the pattern we keep beside the strap drawer for leather, rubber, and fabric bands.

Broad fork geometry

The 3.0mm fork catches the shoulder of standard spring bars fitted to leather or rubber straps. Its wide throat gives ample purchase when levering the pivot back into the lug hole.

Pin end profile

Opposite the fork, the 0.80mm pointed tip fits drilled lug holes to push spring bars free from the outside of the case. The tip is turned round and dressed flat at the working face.

Hexagonal handle

We cast the body in Bakelite with a hexagonal cross section so the tool stays where you put it down. Millimeter markings printed along the flats let you check lug widths before selecting a bar.

Threaded tip replacement

Both steel ends screw directly into threaded sockets at the extremities of the body. When a point wears or bends after long use, you unthread the old tip by hand and turn in a replacement.
