Setting watch hands requires straight downward pressure without catching neighboring pinions. We supply this kit with eight interchangeable tips and a dedicated holder that secures each piece during assembly. A nickel plated base keeps the selection organized beside the movement holder.

Interchangeable tips

The set includes a cone shaped tip, a soft nylon tip, and six sized tips measuring 30 mm, .50 mm, .70 mm, 1.15 mm, 1.50 mm, and 1.70 mm to match different post diameters.

The tip holder

Each tip seats into the holder to give your fingers direct control over the downward stroke. The barrel knurling provides a firm purchase while you align the bore over the post.

Nickel plated base

The 50mm diameter base organizes the tips right on the bench mat. A nickel finish resists shop oil and keeps each insert upright where you can identify the needed diameter.

Selecting the bore

Choose a tip diameter slightly larger than the hand arbor to seat the pipe without binding on the center wheel staff. Swap inserts as you move from the hour hand up to the sweep seconds.
