We machine this holder to drop directly onto the posts of our bench vices such as the 5700z. Four adjustable synthetic jaws grip around the perimeter while leaving clearance for an attached strap or bracelet. You set the four corners to match the case profile and tighten the vice mechanism beneath.
Moulded synthetic jaws
Each of the four jaws is shaped from a non-marring synthetic material. The step cut into each face supports the rim of a case or plate while you work on the keyless works, hands, or case back.
Strap clearance underneath
The posts lift the workpiece clear of the vice base. You can secure a complete watch without unhooking the bracelet or removing spring bars from the lugs, keeping the entire assembly level while you work.
Vice mounting post
The underside fits the locating pins of our 5700z vice frame. It locks into square alignment with the main spindle so downward force from a case opener or press acts perpendicular to the watch face.
Four-point adjustment
Each jaw slides along its channel independently before you tighten down the primary vice screw. This lets you center irregular, tonneau, or rectangular cases directly under your tooling without tilting the movement.
