We cut the stepped jaws of holder 4040 to support a bare movement from either face. The central screw opens and closes the sides smoothly so you can seat the mainplate evenly. It stays flat on the bench while you fit bridges and wheels.
Reversible stepped jaws
Both sides of the brass jaws are machined with stepped profiles. You flip the holder over to seat smaller calibres or switch between dial side and train bridge work without changing holders.
Central threaded screw
The knurled thumb screw moves the jaws along smooth guide posts. Turning it gives a progressive grip against the edge of the mainplate without tilting the work.
Sandblasted chrome finish
We sand and chrome plate the body to leave a dull, non reflective surface. The finish sheds loose particles and resists workshop oils during daily bench assembly.
Stable flat base
The lower edges rest flat against your bench mat. This gives a steady platform when pressing jewels or driving screws into the upper bridge work.

Opening a stubborn case back
Snap backs against screw backs against monobloc cases, how a case key and its dies engage a fluted rim, why the case is held in a holder rather than in the hand, and what to do when the back has been opened badly before.
