We turn the body of reference 31081-120 from aluminum and give it an anodized finish. The tool carries a 1.20 mm conical blade formed from Declafor 1015, matched with a self-lubricating synthetic head so you can keep downward pressure steady without binding.
Declafor blade profile
We shape the 1.20 mm blade with a conical taper from Declafor 1015 alloy. The material is non-magnetic, which keeps it from drawing toward balance springs or steel pinions while you turn movement screws.
Anodized aluminum handle
The handle is turned from aluminum rather than brass or steel to alter how the tool sits between your fingertips. A knurled band gives purchase against light oil on your skin.
Self-lubricating POM head
The plain swivel head uses POM synthetic material. The synthetic runs smooth under your forefinger as the barrel rotates beneath it, letting you maintain steady alignment in the slot.
Changing worn blades
A side set screw in the ferrule locks the Declafor blade in place. When the edge wears down or needs reprofiling, loosen the screw to slide the shank out.

A note that touches this tool
Reading a catalogue number
What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.
Choosing a blade width
Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
