Number 7026-5 gives you a narrow, tapered point for direct movement work. The non-magnetic steel arms meet true under light thumb pressure, letting you lift bridge screws or hairsprings without magnetizing a balance assembly. We finish the profile plain so it rests easy against the index finger.
Narrow steel tips
The points taper down to pick up small movement parts and jewel settings. Both tips meet squarely along their inner flats, which helps you hold a wheel staff without it flicking across the bench.
Non-magnetic body
Working near an escapement or a balance requires steel that will not hold a charge. This metal lets go of minute steel pivots the moment you relax your grip, keeping fine components clean.
Reach and leverage
At 110 mm, the arms bridge the gap between your fingers and the mainplate without crowding your loupe line. You get steady control over how hard you pinch a small train wheel.
Plain arm finish
We keep the outer surface smooth and unadorned. It cleans down with a quick bench cloth and sits naturally between thumb and forefinger when you work through an entire assembly.
