We shape the 7028-5 tweezers from special steel to give a firm grip across the finest movement components. The hardened points close true under light finger pressure. They resist heat and workshop acids during washing and bench assembly.

Hardened tip profile

The tips meet flat and stay parallel when you close the shanks on small screws or pivots. We harden the points so the edges keep their shape through repeated movement work.

Special steel body

We form the shanks from corrosion-resistant steel that tolerates cleaning solutions and high temperatures. The metal springs back cleanly after each pickup without setting.

Balance at the bench

The taper sits naturally between the thumb and forefinger. You feel the tension directly, which helps when positioning delicate parts under the loupe without pinching them flat.

Care and dressing

Keep the points clean with pith wood and dress the outer flats on an Arkansas stone if an edge gets burred. Store them with the tips free of the bench top.
