The standard fork tip on a spring bar tool takes steady load against shoulders and spring collars. When its prongs burr or wear down from regular strap changes, the threaded end unseats from the handle. We turn this replacement tip to match the original profile of the 6767-S.
The fork geometry
We cut the wide notch to span standard spring bar shoulders through leather, rubber, and fabric straps. The twin prongs seat on both sides of the pivot without pressing the central tube.
Threaded shank fit
The shank carries standard threading matched to our 6767 handle bodies. It threads directly into the knurled sleeve and locks against the seated shoulder without loose play.
Replacing a worn tip
Grip the flat faces of the old tip with small pliers or a pin vise to back it out. Thread the fresh tip home until the seat meets the handle mouth.
Bench drawer storage
Keep spare tips in their small labelled vial away from moisture. Storing them dry stops the threads and prongs from picking up grit before they reach the tool.
