Springbar Tool by Bergeon

We turn the round body from solid stock and cut a fine knurling across the grip. One end holds our standard width fork for catching flanges on leather straps, while the opposite end carries a pointed pin for drilled lugs. Both points thread directly into the barrel.

Standard fork end

We cut the standard fork to reach past leather shoulders and seat against the shoulder of a spring bar. The inner notch catches the collar so you can compress the spring without twisting the body.

Pointed pin end

The opposite terminal carries a plain cylindrical pin. You press this end through drilled lug holes to depress the spring pivot from the outside of the case.

Knurled round handle

We mill bands of diamond knurling straight into the body. The raised texture gives purchase when your fingertips are dry or lightly oiled, keeping the barrel steady between thumb and forefinger.

Threaded point replacement

Both steel ends thread out of the central handle when worn or burred. You unscrew the tired tip and turn a fresh point into the tapped socket until seated tight.
