What it isA tool in its own right
Bench jobWorking on the movement

A flat-blade screwdriver for the movement bench, sized at 2.00mm. We cut the knurled grip into a chromium-plated barrel so your fingers keep purchase while the index finger rests on the swivel head. The blade seats into the screw slot square, ready for the heavier screws across a plate.

Blade profile

We grind the 2.00mm blade with parallel flats so the tip meets the slot walls across its full face. When the tip wears, slacken the side grub screw to pull the blade out and dress it on an Arkansas stone.

Chromium-plated barrel

The handle body carries fine knurling along the lower grip. Chromium plating keeps the metal clean under bench oils, while the balanced barrel lets you turn small threads without fighting the weight of the tool.

Swivel head

The top cap rotates freely on its bearing. You hold downward pressure with one fingertip against the head while the thumb and forefinger turn the fluted body underneath.

Colour-coded ring

A coloured ring sits below the swivel head to separate this 2.00mm driver from neighboring sizes on your bench stand. You pick out catalogue number 30080-08 at a glance without reading barrel stamps.

Reading a catalogue number

What the parts of a Bergeon reference number mean, why the number is how a tool is asked for, how a suffix marks a size or a variant of the same family, and how to find the spare blade for a handle you already own.

Choosing a blade width

Why a screwdriver is chosen by the width of its blade rather than by its name, what happens to a screw head when the blade is a step too narrow, how the blades are stepped through the range, and how a worn blade is dressed or swapped.
